EPISODE 8

So, check it out; Episode 8 is up and it sounds pretty damn good. Unfortunately, I titled it The Brides of Frankenstein & Madhouse. Stupid mistake, but I'm pretty sure I typed it up that way because I was watching House of Frankenstein last night while I was uploading it.

Oops.

I hope you enjoy it anyway!

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

Eric (@lugosi6) and I started chatting last week about Christmas gifts and what would be good to buy for the picky British horror film fan. Here's a list of a few things we came up with.

We'll start with the cheap and simple:

The Brain Candle: Who wouldn't want this thing in their office/laboratory?

We love our comics and these are cheap, so check out some Creepy comics as gifts. ( pair it up with a set of these). It's Bernie Wrightson, guys. C'mon.

Head on over to the Chopping Mall and pick up a few shirts. I'll take this one.

Here's the book that Ryan just picked up. This thing has already proved its worth during recording. It's incredible.

Feeling dirty after watching The Reptile? Wash up with a few of these.

For the drunken horror fan on your list.

A 12" Plague of the Zombies figure?!? Pricey, but worth it.

While we're talking price, may as well check this poster out.

These busts are killer. I especially love Ingrid Pitt's bust. See what I did there?

This list is in no particular order, but I've saved my two favorites for last:

I don't know if you can gift a membership to this club or not, but if so I'll make sure my Tuesdays are open from now on.

The last gift I'd like to list still blows my mind. I am baffled that this is a real thing.

Get shopping.

FOR NEXT TIME...

Man, we pulled out the big guns for the next episode!

Jim–

The Curse of the Werewolf (1961)

Ryan–

The Wicker Man (2006)

I'm kidding! It's the original from 1973.

FILMS FOR NOVEMBER

Ryan is in the process of editing episode 7 and should have it done in the next day or two. It's a good 1 1/2 hours or so. We figured we had to make up for our tardiness.

I wanted to post the movies for next month so you guys (and gals? maybe?) can get a head start on watching them. Since it's still October and most of you are in the mood for horror movies more than ever, maybe you could throw these on your watch list for this month.

Jim's choice:

Ryan's pick:

Remember to email us your thoughts so we can read them during episode 8. Also, let us know what movies you've been watching for Halloween this year!

EL JEFE DE LA HORROR

You've heard us mention Jeff Dixon many times on the show. Jeff has been a good friend of ours for a long time and we've been meaning to post a link to his website for a while. Right now he's doing a countdown of horror films to watch this month and we highly recommend checking out his list HERE.

Jeff's taste in horror are a little different from what we talk about on the show. He LOVES slasher and gore movies. What can we say? He's a product of Fangoria magazine!

HAMMER YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Check it out! Hammer now has their own dedicated Youtube channel. This means if you're unable to find or just can't afford some of the titles suggested on our show, you'll be able to watch them on Youtube. I haven't messed around with it too much yet, but the quality looks to be MUCH better than some of the stuff we've watched on Youtube. There are even some HD titles.

In addition to classic films, there are also plenty of trailers for newer Hammer films.

A special thank you to our friend and listener, Jeff Dixon for bringing all this to our attention.
